After more than a year in the making, “No Escape” is finally complete—and made its debut tonight at Mosaic.
This mixed media piece holds a lot of personal meaning. I began it during a time when I had, for reasons I still don’t fully understand, tried to stop making art. I thought pulling away from creativity might quiet something inside me—but instead, it only amplified the noise.
The truth revealed itself through the process: there is no escape from what we are called to do. Art pulled me back in, and “No Escape” became both a reflection of that struggle and a declaration of surrender to the creative force that never truly left.
I’m so grateful to share this piece with the world, and even more grateful that art, once again, wouldn’t let me go.
